TEXT BOOK OF FORENSIC HISTOPATHOLOGY

Abstract

The title ‘Textbook of Forensic Histopatholgy” fascinated me, more in Indian context. Therefore as soon as I learnt that such book is coming, I booked it. On the due date the book arrived. Believe me; it took me a week to go through topic by topic and page by page. I commonly do so with any new edition I lay my hand on. During my early days of my carrier I read one book on the topic- Forensic Histopatholgy by Jansen. It was a translation form, most probably German. I still possess it. So, it was fascinating and created some expectation when I lend my hand on this treatise from Prof Murty. It has multiple chapters and subtitles under the heading of chapters which makes it easy to access. It begins with refreshing the knowledge of histology of relevant tissues and organs. It covers basic of general pathology. Most of the causes of death, particularly in cases of natural deaths fall in this category.
